Traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year Celebration - Sweet Table On April 20, 2026 , Orion College warmly welcomed students and staff back after the Sinhala and Tamil New Year holidays by organising a Traditional Sweet Table on the first day of reopening. The event was arranged to celebrate the spirit of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year while strengthening the sense of unity and friendship among students, lecturers, and staff members. A variety of traditional Sri Lankan New Year sweets and delicacies were beautifully prepared and shared, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere across the college.
